Nutrition planning and education that supports optimal performance of ANZ Netball Players:

 Purpose: The purpose of the role is to provide support and advice that ensures the Magic Netball team have the best nutritional advice to support performance.  The role will require you to analyse nutritional information and make recommendations to the Sports Science staff.  This is a role for an Intern Masters level Student at Waikato University.Role details: This is a voluntary role based in Hamilton at Waikato University.  As part of the role you will work closely with the sports science staff and Head Coach.Specific responsibilities:

  • Menu planning and travel nutrition support.

  • Education and team workshops.

  • Supplement education, ordering and management.

  • Communication and reporting to/with Head Coach or as directed by Head Coach.

  • Optional one on one nutrition support for players where individual goals and development will be supported. Follow up consultation with players every 4 weeks for monitoring and support will be required.

  • It is anticipated that the role will provide up to 11 days of service throughout the contractual period from February 1 to 31 August.
