With great pleasure we announce the appointment of two new staff members. Kim Hunt to the Coach Development Officer role and Nicole Lefebre to the Pass It and Junior Development Officer roles within the Zone.
Kim Hunt – Coach Development Officer
Kim has been a facilitator delivering NNZ Coach Development workshops and modules in Waikato Centres for several years. She was employed as the Coach Coordinator for the Cambridge Netball Centre in 2014 and introduced a very successful Year 1 and 2 Junior Programme to the Centre last year.
Working primarily with Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Otorohanga, Maniapoto, Taumaranui, Putaruru, Tokoroa and Taupo Netball Centres Kim will work closely with Shan and Katie in Coach Development across the Zone.
Kim lives in Cambridge with her partner and five children and will be based at the Hamilton Office commencing her role on 2 February.
Nicole Lefebre – Pass It, Junior Development Officer
Nicole has delivered the KiwiSport Pass It programme part time for the past two years and has recently completed her Bachelor of Sport and Leisure Studies.
The Pass It programme is delivered to schools across the Bay of Plenty and in her Junior Development Officer role Nicole will work with Eastern Bay of Plenty Schools and Netball Centres to promote and introduce the Junior Netball programme.
Nicole lives in Mount Maunganui and will be based at the Tauranga Office starting in early February.
Netball New Zealand have restructured the delivery of coach development and have disestablished the NNZ CoachForce positions throughout New Zealand . Dale Atkinson will finish her role with NNZ, working in the Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone on 1 February. Prior to her role at NNZ Dale was employed as the SportsForce Development Officer and has been involved in coaching at many levels. We thank Dale for her contribution to Coach Development in the Zone and wish her well in the future.
