WBOP hosted the Southern Blast as Globox Arena in Hamilton on Sunday for their final game of the National Netball League season.

WBOP started the quarter with a couple of bad passes but settled quickly after that scoring 6-goals in a row. Amy Christophers picked up two great intercepts with WBOP winning the quarter by 5 goals. The intensity on court was exciting to watch and the ball flowed nice and fast.
Quarter score: 11 – 6 to WBOP

In the second quarter WBOP started very strong with the defensive end of Reeghan de Bono, Liza Ball and Amy Christophers getting 5 intercepts and scoring 8-goals in a row. The team were working very well together which rattled the Southern Blast and limited them to scoring their first goal half way through the quarter. WBOP continued to score their centre-passes and only made two errors in the quarter. WBOP winning the quarter 18 – 5.

The third quarter saw a couple of changes made, with Ashley Maylor coming on at GA and Tegan Broomfield making her debut at GK. Both teams were goal for goal for a while then Reeghan took another intercept with WBOP scoring 3 in a row. WBOP made a few errors at the end of the quarter allowing Southern Blast to score 3 in a row. Southern Blast wining the quarter by 3.
Three quarter score: 43 – 28 to WBOP

In the fourth quarter further changes were made however WBOP were unable to settle in the beginning giving the Southern Blast a couple of opportunities to score 3-goals in a row. Southern Blast winning the quarter 11 – 18.
Final score: 54 – 46 to WBOP

It was awesome to see WBOP finish the season with the win, and such an exciting fast paced first half.
