At our Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone AGM held on Sunday, 27th March two of our esteemed members were presented with the following awards:

Sylvia Smith – WBOP Life Membership Award
The Waikato BOP NNL team travelled to Rangiora to play their 2nd match against a highly rated Mainland team. They posed some real strength with ANZ Tactix training partners being available for the match. Our second game away and the juggle of Covid and ANZ commitments saw a changed line up for WBOP.
The Waikato BOP NNL squad of 10 travelled to Wellington excited to play their first match having had 3 matches drawn due to covid cancellations.
A leading figure in the sport on many fronts, Shirley Hooper has been awarded Life Membership of Netball New Zealand (NNZ), acknowledging her significant contribution at both local and international levels.
